Roger Bledsoe became the Manager, Operations and Technical Support for the Charlotte Service Center at Grand Eagle Nuclear Services in August. Roger is widely recognized throughout the industry as one of the leading experts on all major OEM medium and low voltage electrical switchgear systems. At present, Roger is the team leader for ten employees and manages two field service engineers. This number will increase as the team goes into outages. At that time, they will pull additional personnel from other Service Centers to work on the projects. Before joining Grand Eagle, Roger worked for 33 years at Duke Engineering Services Inc. (DESI), most recently as the Manager, Breaker Services. A member of Masons Mint Hill Lodge # 742, Roger attended Piedmont Community College. Roger also provided on-going consulting services to EPRI/NMAC for the development of their breaker maintenance guidance documents, which are used within the nuclear industry on ABB/Westinghouse/GE Switchgears. Also in August, Mary T, Julian was appointed Manager, Training and Technical Development. Mary will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures for medium and low voltage electrical equipment repair and maintenance for all major OEM equipment. Also, she will oversee the training and certification programs for all Nuclear Service Technicians and Engineers. In addition, she will support training, certification and procedural review for Grand Eagle's customers' programs. Before joining Grand Eagle, Mary was a Technical Specialist in Production Engineering with AEP's DC Cook Nuclear Power Station in Bridgman, MI. The Nuclear Services Division operates two dedicated Centers of Excellence under our 10CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21 programs. Once center is located in Charlotte, NC and the other is in Cleveland, OH.
