When Cessna's senior test pilot, Dale Bleakney, landed after a demo flight, he was immediately pressed by the converted for details of how the newest, albeit not-yet-ready-for-sale, Cessna flies.
'I like it,' he said without hesitation. 'It flies like a 152.'
In truth, the new LSA Cessna isn't exactly like a C-152.The LSA version is lighter, faster and has more elbow room. And while Bleakney didn't suggest anything of the sort, it's a short trip to the conclusion that the folks at Cessna HQ are thinking most of their customers won't mind a bit of extra speed and comfort should they trade up to a new aircraft.
As with so many LSA aircraft, the Cessna is running a Rotax powerplant up front.
