Mr. Blazis was a certified public accountant for the Illinois State Board of Education from 1972-2001.He was a member of the Illinois C.P.A. Society , American Institute of Public Accountants , and a past member and President of Shambolee Golf Club.He was also a member and Past President of the Panther Creek Country Club.
His father preceded him in death in 1991.
He is survived by his wife : Mary Blazis of Springfield ; a son : Mark Blazis of Chicago ; a daughter : Denise Blazis of Springfield ; a step-son : Cory Wood of Steamboat Springs , CO ; a step-daughter : Kelly Wood of Los Angeles , CA ; his mother : Isabelle Blazis of Springfield ; a brother : John ( wife , Martie ) Blazis , Jr. of Springfield.
