   Guitarist Holly Blazina has been captivated by flamenco's passionate, soulful melodies and driving rhythms from first listening. She began studying the flamenco art form in 1994 with the help of many artists from across Spain and North America, including a mentorship with Calgary flamenco guitarist and recording artist Peter Knight. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the University of Calgary.
   
   Holly loves to share her passion for the guitar with others, and takes pride in bringing her warmth and professionalism to each engagement. Her flamenco and classical repertoires can be tailored to a wide variety of settings including weddings, receptions, private celebrations, art gallery openings, galas and concert performances. Holly displays her versatility as a solo artist and in the flamenco ensemble setting, performing with any combination of singers, percussionists and dancers that best suit an occasion.
   
   Holly has been an invited guest with Los Arcos flamenco group, the Calgary Renaissance Singers and Players, the Hoy Sun Society and the India Canada Society. She has been a three-time guest performer for Andaluz, a flamenco and middle eastern dance show, and a three-time guest performer for the Calgary Classical Guitar Society. In response to a number of successful private performances, Holly is developing an in-home concert series.
   
   Past clients include Alberta Theatre Projects, the Delta Bow Valley Inn, the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts, Triangle Gallery, the Banff Centre for the Arts, Calgary Opera Society, the Calgary Philharmonic Society, Theatre Calgary, Infuse Catering, Kelman Technologies, Zargon Oil & Gas, Chapters and the Calgary International Film Festival, to name a few.
   
   When not performing and studying, Holly teaches private lessons and workshops and composes original works in the flamenco style.
