An $800 PEO Scholarship was presented to Angela Blazier , of Yreka. Ms. Blazier graduated from Enterprise High School in Redding , California in 1992. After moving to Siskiyou County in 1998 , she began working at Stidham Trucking , where she is still employed as she continues at COS as a full-time student. She will receive $400 per semester for the next two semesters. She plans to continue her education to pursue a career as a dental hygienist after graduating from COS in the spring of 2002. In addition to working and attending college she is actively engaged in the community. She volunteers her time as a soccer coach and helps with the annual Bike-a-Thon which is a fundraising event for the Yreka Lions Club.
The Foundation also recently awarded two memorial scholarships.
