   RLS, LLC announced today that it has hired Mark Blazer as vice president of operations for RLS Management. Blazer is an accomplished leader in the continuing care retirement community industry with over 18 years of operations experience.
   
   Prior to accepting the position of vice president of operations for RLS Management, Blazer served as vice president of operations for multi-facility owners and managers of both for-profit and nonprofit retirement communities. Blazer's background includes extensive experience in health care administration and CCRC development, operations and management. He has successfully opened numerous CCRCs, turned around finances at struggling communities and improved staff and resident satisfaction in communities across the Midwest, Northwest and California.
   
   In his role at RLS, Blazer will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the operations of RLS' management clients.

   Mark Blazer joined PRS in August 2001. He served as Executive Administrator of University Retirement Community in Davis, California for just over two years. On October 1, 2003, Mark was promoted to a PRS Regional Vice President. Mark holds an MBA from California State University's Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor's degree in Long Term Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a Licensed Administrator in four states-and has more than 15 years of experience in the retirement industry. Immediately prior to joining PRS, Mark was the Regional Operations Manager for Evergreen Healthcare, Inc. In that position, he was responsible for overseeing operations at 13 senior housing facilities in Utah, Montana, and Nevada. During his tenure as Executive Director at University Retirement Community (URC), Mark successfully took the community through the rigorous accreditation process of the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, which is sponsored through the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
