Henry Cameron Cam Blazer Jr. , 89 , Sarasota , died Sept. 21 , 2001
He was born Sept. 18 , 1912 , in Kansas City , Mo. , and came to Sarasota 15 years ago from Lake Winnebago , Mo.. He retired in 1983. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Sarasota , Lake Winnebago Yacht Club and Meadows Country Club. He graduated from Kemper Military Academy and Georgia Tech in engineering. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was a Navy veteran of World War II , serving as lieutenant junior grade and receiving the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his son , Cameron III of Kansas City ; three grandchildren ; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be today in Kansas City where Mount Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home , Holmes Road , Kansas City , is in charge.
