   Many of the preschool and school age children taught at AMAC have made sufficient progress to rejoin their peers in the public school system, said Frederica Blausten, Executive Director of AMAC. The addition of the computer-based learning made possible by the generosity of NYNEX can only improve our success rate..
   
   The NYNEX grant has provided funds for the establishment of a state-of-the-art computer center that will teach students, as well as train staff and parents to support the learning process. The center is equipped with the latest in hardware offerings including Pentium central processing units, extended RAM dedicated to each station, CD-ROM drives and access to the Internet.
   
   Personalization of each station is accomplished through arcade style oversized trackballs as well as individual stereo headphones.
