   In 1974 at age 19 and with only $34.00, Joe Blattner started a business that today is the largest employing advertising agency in the Pittsburgh region.
   
   COMPackage also represents some of what Blattner, its founder, learned during a 33 year career, during which he founded Blattner Brunner, an advertising agency in Pittsburgh, at age 19 and grew it to a 120-employee organization when he sold control of it in 2003.
   
   One thing he carried away from his experience as a business owner as well as what he learned from fellow entrepreneurs, was that while business owners understood the value of this tool and wanted to distribute such reports, they historically found them too complex, time consuming and costly.
   
   In light of that knowledge, he set out to identify processes and develop the technology to overcome those obstacles - that's COMPackage - and formed a new venture to market these solutions. Blattner worked with some of the brightest Internet minds at Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Information Systems Management Program, and others, to develop COMPackage.
   
   In addition to COMPackage total compensation statement software management, Blattner consults to small-to-medium sized companies on business, marketing and communications issues, is active in the World Presidents Organization (WPO) and recently Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), and has served as chairman and now as Director of the Auberle Development Corp, a home for children-at-risk near Pittsburgh.

   During the public portion of the meeting, Stockhausen and Auberle Development Board Chairman Joseph Blattner hailed efforts of Auberle's CEO for the past two years, John Lydon, and "ever-present confidence in and support of Auberle" from Bishop Donald W. Wuerl.
