Kimberly Bishop is a senior business executive with 20 years experience in financial services, technology, and banking.Her track record, academic achievements and ability to build relationships make her one of the most dynamic and effective professionals in the executive search and leadership development industry.Ms. Bishop is also deeply committed to her community and to women's issues.
In March 2005, Kim joined Korn/Ferry International as Senior Partner/Managing Director focused on senior level leadership development and recruitment.Ms. Bishop's clients are both public and private organizations who are global as well as local.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, she was Executive Vice President at First Data Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with $9.1 billion in revenues, 27,000 employees, and 310 locations.In 16 years, she rose from an entry level position to the youngest member of the company's executive committee, overseeing its $2 billion card division and 8,000 employees.In August 2004, Kim built a new organization, Strategic Financial Services.Prior to that, she was EVP for the client development organization and previously held positions at Mid City Bank.
As an EVP, Kimberly cultivated relationships across diverse industries and established herself as an adept negotiator and closer of seven- to ten-figure deals.A turnaround expert, she achieved multimillion-dollar profitability, market-leading performance and operational controls, while reducing costs and improving performance.She helped strengthen the multi-national positioning of FDC as a leader for the card issuing business in Latin America, supported the launch and growth of business in Canada, and led business for the card issuing internet group.
Kimberly's philanthropic efforts are both global and local in reach.A founding member of WomenLead Global Funders Circle with CEDPA, and the Corporate Committee of the International Museum of Women (IMOW), she plays an active role in The Bottomless Closet, Meals on Wheels, City at Peace, and the The Girl's Leadership School of East Harlem.Kimberly is a 2006 New York Women's Agenda Star Award honoree.
Her speaking engagements include the 2005 Women as Global Leaders Conference in Dubai, ABA Bankcard Conference, Young President's Organization (YPO), OnBoard BootCamp, and Women's President Organization (WPO).She has appeared on CNN, WABC Eyewitness News and in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Money Magazine, American Banker and Pink Magazine..
Kim is a Board Director of the FWA (Financial Women's Association), Harvard University's Leadership Board at the Kennedy School of Government, a member of the Advisory Board of The Center for Women's Business Research, Vice Chair of the NE Region of The Committee of 200 (C200).
Kimberly received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications and a Master of Arts in Leadership, both from Bellevue University.Additionally, she has completed the Harvard Business School course on Negotiation, the University of Chicago, and GSB Executive Program in Corporate Strategy, among others.She is currently completing her Doctorate in Organization and Management at Capella University.
