Ms. Biron was a graduate of Wicomico High School in 1934 and the University of Maryland as a science major in 1938.
During World War II she worked for Lockheed in California and U.S. Rubber in New York, and volunteered with the Red Cross.She was employed with Benjamin's in Salisbury from 1954 to 1958.She was employed in various departments at Peninsula Regional Medical Center from 1966 to 1972.While undergoing cardiac rehab at the hospital she was reintroduced to technicians she had trained.
Ms. Biron was a member of Institute of Retired Persons and St. Peters Episcopal Church.She endowed the Theatre Department at Salisbury University.The Bobbi Biron Theatre at Salisbury University is one of her legacies.Over the years she supported the Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins.Her estate will benefit numerous organizations through the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
Ms. Biron enjoyed traveling, having gone to Europe several times and for many years spent some of the winter in Key West.Ms. Biron was a strong independent woman.She was very loyal to her friends, maintaining friendships from her high school days through frequent lunches and long distance calls.She will be missed by many.
As her health limited her activities she enjoyed comforting her dog, Maryanne.During these past years her care-giver, Sharon Holbrook, assisted considerably for Ms. Biron's doctor and hospital visits.
