All aspects of the cafe, from marketing, to accounting, to operations management are being handled by a team of experienced students from various business-oriented majors, said Steven Bialek, chairman of the Rader School of Business.

Steven Bialek has been named chairman of the Rader School of Business at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Bialek has served as interim department chair for the past two years, managing a staff of 11 full-time and 35 part-time faculty.He is also an associate professor and teaches in the areas of organizational behavior, leadership and project management.

The Get Smarter Summit will be a breakfast presentation, followed by breakout sessions with expert speakers for executives, including: "Combining Academics With Workforce Development," by Steven Bialek, chairman of the Milwaukee School of Engineering School of Business; and David Tietyen, director of the MSOE Business Excellence Consortium; "Education in a Flat World: e-Learning on Demand," by Todd Rickel, vice president of eLearning, Herzing Educational System and president of the Herzing University Online Campus; "The Business School of the Future: Anytime, Anywhere, Online," by Janet Olson, assistant dean, and Lois Smith, interim dean, the College of Business & Economics, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater; and "Executive Learning" taught by experts at Carthage College/Loyola University.

Steven C. Bialek has been named associate professor in the MSOE Rader School of Business and program director for both the B.S. in management information systems and the B.S. in management programs.Bialek earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1984 , a master's degree from UW-Milwaukee in 1987 and a Ph.D. from UW-Madison in 1998.He is returning to MSOE , having previously served as director of part-time enrollment and graduate admission.He lives in Oconomowoc , Wis..
