Mayank Bhatt is the Senior Commercial Specialist with the US Commercial Service in Mumbai.Prior to joining the US Mission in India, Bhatt was a journalist for over a decade, having worked both in print and television.He was Assistant Editor with Business India and has worked for ZeeTV.He continues to teach media studies and coordinates the journalism and communication course at the Bombay College of Journalism.He is also involved with The Quarterly Journal of Opinion, a website that encourages democratic debate.He lives and works in Mumbai. For the Media South Asia project he conducted interviews, advised the team and wrote a report on the economics and institutional structures of the media market in India.
