  Puneet Bharal Joins ACORD, Building London Presence
  
  LONDON, UK - 22 August 2005 - ACORD (www.acord.org), the global insurance data standards association, announced the appointment of Puneet Bharal as the new Program Manager for its reinsurance and large commercial insurance data standards.

  Mr. Bharal comes to ACORD from RI3K, Ltd where he served as product director and a consultant.He provided project management, analysis, and solution design expertise for the solution provider.Prior to that, he was employed by SITA Telecom, Gartner, and Datamonitor.He holds an MSc Management Studies from Brunel University and a BSc (Hons) Management Studies: 2i from Leeds Metropolitan University.
  
  For more than three decades, ACORD has been serving the insurance industry with standards in paper forms, EDI, and XML data standards.In 2001, ACORD assumed responsibility for continuing and advancing the development of data standards for the reinsurance sector. Since that time, ACORD standards have been identified as a key component of the London Market reform initiative to improve claims handling, accounting and settlement, and placing.Mr. Bharal will lead ACORD's development of a Global Placing Document scheduled for completion in 2005.

  The ER3001 standard is already in used among U.S. managing general agents (MGA) and their London Market counterparts, says Puneet Bharal, head of Advisory Services for ACORD in London.
  
  "The MGAs for the cover holders in the U.S. are being asked to supply information in different data formats," says Bharal. "They need to complete it by hand or code up by output for every insurer that they deal with, so it has become very inefficient to do this on a quarterly basis."
  
  By adopting the exposure standard, the MGAs are able to communicate exposure data to the Lloyds syndicates on a streamlined basis.
  
  Bharal said with the additional of AIR, broader adaptation of exposure data standards among underwriters, cedents and even other catastrophe modeling firms will take on new importance.
  
  "Every company in the insurers industry is trying to quantify its exposure data," Bharal says.

  PEARL RIVER, NY - September 28, 2006 - ACORD (www.acord.org) announced that Puneet Bharal has been elevated to Program Director for its Reinsurance and Large Commercial (RLC) standards program. He formerly served as the RLC Program Manager.

  Puneet Bharal, Program Director, Reinsurance & Large Commercial Program at ACORD In this new position, Mr. Bharal will manage the RLC standards program worldwide from ACORD's office in London. He will also be involved with cross domain initiatives such as the ACORD Standards Framework and working with ACORD's other two standards domains - Property & Casualty/Surety and Life & Annuity.
  
  Since 2001, ACORD has been maintaining and advancing the development of data standards for the reinsurance sector. In that time, ACORD standards have been identified as a key component of the London Market reform initiative to improve claims handling, accounting and settlement, and placing.
  
  The announcement was made prior to the official launch of ACORD Video on Demand (www.acordtv.org) in London being held October 4, 2006 at their office in the London Underwriting Centre. Mr. Bharal is also involved in the ACORD Video on Demand within the reinsurance sector as well as for the London Market and he will be working to help develop video in response to market needs.
