Dennis E. Bettiol is the Leader of the Ernst & Young Life Sciences industry in Vancouver responsible for providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to clients in the Life Sciences industry. Dennis has over 25 years experience in public accounting and has concentrated his practice to the Life Sciences industry for the past eight years. Over this time, he has become familiar with the issues facing companies as they move from the start-up phase to the more mature phase and has provided assistance as these companies evolve.
Dennis has assisted in the publication of the Ernst & Young biotech Industry Report and has been a speaker and writer on a variety of the life science related issues for publications and events as Biotechnology in B.C., International Bio and Pacific Northwest Biotechnology Exposition. Dennis has ensured that Ernst & Young is a supporter of the industry by sponsoring events such as the B.C. Biotech Annual Awards Banquet, the Pacific Northwest Biotechnology Exposition and the Pacific Rim Biotechnology Conference as well as ensuring that the industry is represented in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Dennis is currently reponsible for the preparation of the BC Biotech Economic Survey.
Dennis Bettiol is originally from Vancouver and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Computer Science) from the University of British Columbia. Dennis also obtained a Licentiate in Accounting and a Chartered Accountant qualification. Dennis is a member of the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants.
