Dr. Bethel returned home and started medical practice at Antoni Clinic, Freeport in 1975, then in April 1978 he assumed management of the Lucayan Medical Centre where he continues to serve as Consultant Internist and Administrator.
He is a Past President of the Grand Bahama Medical and Dental Association, and received the Distinguished Physician Award (1991), and the Boss of the Year Award (1994).
He served as Medical Advisor to the G.B. Diabetic Association (1987-1997), and currently serves as a Director of Commonwealth Bank.
