Mr. Khodadad (Ken) Betaharon is responsible for the planning, design, development and acquisition of all new communications technology and infrastructure for the delivery of Intelsat's services.This includes satellite capacity and the recent build-out of Intelsat's global teleport and fiber connection facilities, as well as the on-going integration and planning of next-generation broadband systems.Since joining Intelsat in 1978 as a telecommunications engineer, Mr. Betaharon has held key management positions related to the planning, design and development of every satellite series in Intelsat's current fleet.Mr. Betaharon was responsible for creating Intelsat's technical labs and associated R&D programs.He has also supervised several partnership agreements between Intelsat and regional satellite operators to expand Intelsat's in-orbit capacity.Mr. Betaharon became Chief Technology Officer in 2003.Prior to joining Intelsat, Mr. Betaharon spent nearly ten years at COMSAT Laboratories developing spacecraft and spacecraft-related communications equipment, hardware and systems.
