   Guru V. Betageri, PhD Guru V. Betageri, PhD - Center Focus: Formulation. Dr. Betageri is Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Western University of Health Sciences. His expertise is in the area of liposomal drug delivery systems and solid dosage forms. He has obtained grants from Federal agencies and over 40 pharmaceutical companies. He was instrumental in the formulation and development of several products on the market. Dr. Betageri teaches Pharmaceutics to PharmD students and pre-formulation, product development and novel drug delivery systems to graduate students. He has published more than 50 research papers and presented over 100 papers, and is co-editor of the book, "Liposome Drug Delivery." Dr. Betageri is the holder of three U.S. patents.
