   Mr. Beste, 45, provides expertise in accessing a number of Wall Street firms for the purpose of vertically integrating LPHI in the securitization of life settlements and coordinating all activity with institutional investors. Mr. Beste has been involved in commercial real estate and financing for 21 years and came to LPHI from the CMBS side of Finova Realty Capital. Mr. Beste holds a BS from Arizona State University.

   Michael T. Beste, age 47, serves as President of our Institutional Division and serves as the Company's primary contact with all institutional investors. Mr. Beste joined the Company in April 2001. Before his association with us, he served as Director of Finova Realty Capital in Dallas, Texas, where he worked with conduit lenders and equity investment firms to provide capital solutions for commercial real estate owners and developers. Mr. Beste has also worked in the area of commercial real estate financing and development for GMAC and served as President of the real estate finance and development firm of RWB Investments from 1991 to 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Arizona State University.

   Life Partners Holdings , Inc. ( LPHI ) today announced that it has hired Michael T. Beste , 43 , as President of its newly formed Institutional Division.
   
   Beste , formerly a Director at Finova Realty Capital in Dallas , Texas , will oversee all institutional investments in the Life Settlements industry for LPHI. A recent study by Conning and Company estimates the Life Settlements market size as being more than $100 billion. Beste will oversee origination , underwriting and servicing of portfolios of life settlements for institutional investors. He will also be responsible for establishing large securitized syndications of life settlements by LPHI.
   
   A Life Settlement is the purchase of a life insurance policy from a healthy senior citizen at a discounted rate. This relatively new concept provides a return for institutional investors and makes available to persons over the age of 65 an extra source of income.
   
   Beste will increase LPHI's depth of management in the institutional capital markets. This is a great new and Life Partners Holdings is uniquely positioned to be one of the industry leaders for years to come. I'm excited to be a part of it , said Beste.
