   (Seattle, Wash.) - - The Seattle Sounders will honor the organization's original head coach, John Best on August 28th prior to the Sounders and Minnesota Thunder match at 7pm at Qwest Field. Best, a former U.S. National Team member coached the Sounders from 1974-1976 leading the team to back-to-back playoff appearances.
   
   In Best's three seasons as the Sounders head coach, he posted a record of 43-26 and ended his coaching career with a winning percentage of .623. Best coached several North American Soccer League All-Stars including Sounder Legends Jimmy Gabriel, Dave Gillett and Pepé Fernandez.
