John Best, CPA Past President (1982?83) and Honorary Life Member, passed away suddenly February 19.John was a long-time member of the California Placement Association, serving in many positions on the Executive Board.John was a very active member of CPA.He served as Employer Representative (as VP, Transamerica/Occidental), Vice President, Conference Chair, and President.He also received the Joan Crocker Service Award in 1982 for his outstanding dedication and service to CPA.Many people still remember his unselfishness in providing constant financial support for many of the CPA activities.Later in life, John opened up his own consulting firm, Best Group.John?s many CPA friends and colleagues have been left with a big void with his passing.John also leaves behind a loving mother and other dear family members. -
