   "We innovate, we don't imitate," said John Best, General Manager of McLanahan's Aggregate Processing Division located at 585 Airport Road in Gallatin, Tennessee. Among its many customizable pieces of machinery McLanahan manufactures single, double, triple, and quadruple roll crushers, adapting their technology to each client's individual application method and material being mined. For example, by combining pre- and post- screening processes with their crushers, aggregate material of twelve inches can be brought down to three inches which can be brought down to three-eighths of an inch or anything beyond or in between, while recycling any material which remains oversized and eliminating any that is undersized. With McLanahan's basic single roll crusher, the rotation of the roll drags material in with its teeth, crushing the substance into the face. Here, the distance between these elements is what determines the actual size of the finished product. In the case of a double roll crusher, counter rotating rolls become the initializing factor, with triple and quadruple units employed when a more complex process is required. "At McLanahan we pride ourselves on the fact that we don't try to manufacture generic, machinery," said Best.
