  Citizens Memorial Healthcare announces the addition of interventional cardiologist John F. Best, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C., to the medical staff at Citizens Memorial Healthcare in Bolivar.Dr. Best is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
  
  Dr. Best is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine and comes to CMH with an extensive background in cardiology.He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.He also completed a post fellowship at the Quebec Heart Institute.
  
  Dr. Best is widely known for his development of the Interventional Cardiology program at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.Most recently, he was the Chief of Medicine and Chief of Cardiology for Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Mo.Additionally, Dr. Best is an assistant professor of medicine for the University of Missouri, Columbia.
  
  Recognized for his work as an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Best has been featured as Springfield's "Physician of the Year," and the "Best Doctor" in 417 Magazine, and will be featured in the October edition of Missouri Life.
  
  Dr. Best will begin seeing patients Sept. 8 at the CMH Heart Institute Clinic, located in the Medical Office Building/Ambulatory Surgical Center at 1155 W. Parkview St., Suite 2B in Bolivar.
