    Greg Best is the owner of Best's Road House Food and Spirits, located at 1107 N. Fifth Street. Best is the former Executive Chef at the Beacon Restaurant.

    "I was at work one day and the lady that owned this building came by and I asked her what she was gonna do with it," Best said. "We got to talking and that got us wound up and got us started."

    It took Best almost 10 months to get the building into shape and ready for its opening.

    In the process he renovated the entire building from the bar area to the building of a new kitchen.

    "I completely redid the bar I worked on it for two weeks," Best said. "We also did all the painting, the only thing we didn't do was the electrical and plumbing work."

    Now with his new creation, Best can run things the way he likes.

    "We wanted to make this a good atmosphere," Best said.
