   So could these new ‘behavioural addictions' be more hype than reality - and should they sit alongside more serious disorders such as drug or alcohol abuse?
   
   Linda WRIGHT, a 24-year-old Bank of Scotland customer services officer from Holyrood, says she recently got over her 25-a-day text messaging habit, but would never have termed herself addicted.
