    Serving Sydenham

    Chris believes in connecting with the community and formed the Sydenham Community Regeneration Partnership (SCRP) in 1997.SCRP holds quarterly meetings with residents of Sydenham as well as representatives of the Sydenham Traders, Sydenham Society, faith groups as well as community groups.SCRP has developed a Sydenham Plan and has worked with the Town Centre Manager to launch and promote the Sydenham Loyalty Card.

    Chris was born in Windsor, Berkshire in 1952 and was educated at East Berkshire College, Greenwich University where she was awared a BA in Political Economy and Goldsmiths College, University of London where she was awarded an MA in Social Policy and Administration.

    In 1977 Chris started a career in social housing working for a number of London based housing associations as well as three years at the Housing Corporation.Chris joined Soho Housing Association as Chief Executive in 1998 and is seen below with Dave Stewart opening a new housing scheme in Drury Lane in the West End.

    Chris has served on many organisations - as a school governor on a primary and secondary school as well as on the governing body of a further education college.

    Working in housing Chris has served on several Committees to help homeless women including Women's Aid.Chris was appointed by the Housing Corporation to resolve difficulties with Solon Wandsworth which resulted in a merger and is seen below with other Board members.

    Chris is a member of the GMB, the Co-operative Party, ACTS Credit Union, the Fawcett Society, RSPB and the National Trust.Locally Chris is a member of the Sydenham Society and a Friend of Horniman Museum.
