Alyssa grew up in Crockett and Rodeo, CA.She has excelled in school, extra-curricular activities, and outside employment.After high school Alyssa attended UCSB for one year.Her sophomore year, she was offered a Division I volleyball scholarship and she transferred to Simpson University.She was accepted to the Russian Studies Program and recently returned from a semester abroad in Russia.Alyssa's swimming experience started when she joined the community swim team at six years of age.She competed for seven years before becoming involved in life guarding and teaching swim lessons.She earned her WSI certification last spring and joined Roughing It for the 2006 summer season as a swim counselor.She is an excellent skills instructor and loves to incorporate games into her swim lessons.
