TREMPEALEAU, Wis. - Jane H. Beseler, 74, of Trempealeau died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, surrounded by her family at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.
She was born March 16, 1929, in Winona, the only child of Alvin and Jennie Lafky. She was united in marriage to William F. Beseler on Dec. 18, 1950, at Methodist Church in LeMars, Iowa. The Rev. Kenneth Clawson, William's brother-in-law, officiated.
Jane attended Winona public schools and the College of St. Teresa in Winona. In 1969, she graduated from the College of St. Teresa with a bachelor of science degree in art and education. She taught art classes at Blair (Wis.) High School for several years. Later Jane and Bill, her husband, bought and sold rare and unusual books, most recently at the Country Comfort antiques shop in Winona.

Jane also loved traveling. She and Bill often traveled to the southwest United States and especially enjoyed visiting the Pueblos and attending Navajo rug auctions. Jane also visited Europe on five occasions with her husband and her daughter, Lora.
