   Paul Besel, who served as principal of Neveln Elementary, assistant principal and principal of Ellis Middle School and principal of Banfield Elementary, all of Austin, has accepted the principal's job at Worthington's Prairie Elementary.
   
   Following interviews on Monday, Besel returned to Worthington Friday (6/29) to sign a contract.

   The current principal, Paul Besel, is resigning at the end of this month.
   
   Besel, who has been with the district since 1990, has served as principal, assistant principal, academic program coordinator and teacher at Ellis Middle School. He also served as principal at Neveln Elementary School and taught at two other elementary schools in the district.
   
   Besel said he did not wish to comment about his future plans at this time.
   
   Last year, Katie Berglund, who was then the principal at Banfield, switched jobs with Besel, who was principal at Ellis.

   In January, Besel and a secretary in another school building were placed on administrative leave when allegations surfaced about their apparent unauthorized use of the school district's electronic communications.
