The 161-foot Lady Florence had minor paint damage, said Jim Berulis, vice president and general manager at Trinity Yachts. The newly launched 161-foot Zoom Zoom Zoom will require two days of aluminum repair, he said.

"The bow poked into a building and hit debris, damaging the props severely, but it's very repairable," Berulis said. Both yachts are expected to keep their appointments at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October, he said.

Not so easily repairable are the lives of Trinity employees, most of whom lost their homes and belongings during the storm and following flood.

"We've been successful in locating a great number of employees," Berulis said, noting that employees are being paid while the company regroups and are looking forward to returning to work. "There is a tremendous will to succeed, with some plans changing by the hour as more options become available," he said.

Trinity has ordered more than 100 trailers to house employees on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain or in Gulfport, Miss., where Trinity has an additional production facility. While that facility suffered some flooding, Berulis said the damage was minimal and the heavy equipment needed to build boats is available.

Most of Trinity's New Orleans buildings were damaged in the flood, while the administrative offices received extensive roof and water damage, Berulis said.
