   Craig Berube has been meeting the legal needs of clients in Colorado and New Mexico for more than 12 years, and has worked with oil and gas companies since 1997. He entered law school knowing he wanted a career in energy and natural resources law, and earned his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1993.
   
   Growing up in the western United States, Craig was surrounded by energy interests and their pervasive effect on the local terrain and economy. "The only constant has been the ever-changing environment in which the industry must operate," he says. "In order to stay competitive, our clients have to be creative and adaptable, visionary and pragmatic. Beatty & Wozniak's industry focus makes dealing with legal issues a lot easier for them, because they know we understand the turbulent nature of their business."
   
   Craig brings a well-rounded legal perspective to the table with his clients. He has worked as in-house counsel, as a legislative analyst and as a city attorney, so his understanding of regulatory compliance and government relations issues isn't just theoretical. "My background gives me a broader perspective on a client's legal needs in relation to their day-to-day business operations. I know they need us to get it right the first time, every time, to avoid problems down the road."
   
   Craig is a member of the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers and the Colorado Bar Association's Natural Resources and Energy Law Section. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Colorado and New Mexico.
   
   When he can find the time, Craig likes to write fiction and play golf.
