   Ishpeming's Department of Public Works received several phone calls from residents after last week's snowstorm wondering when their neighborhood or alley would be plowed, said Ishpeming DPW Supervisor Jim Bertucci. "We're shorthanded by six employees, so we have to prioritize what we do," Bertucci said.

   "We've been shifting everyone around to try to keep everything going," Bertucci said. "We're doing the best we can, but we need people to be patient." Some elderly residents have raised concerns about being stranded in their home during an emergency, Bertucci said. "People in this city never have to worry about their health being at risk because we didn't plow in their neighborhood," he said.
