Slaughter and May's French litigation head Edouard Bertrand has found a new home at French independent Campbell Philippart Laigo & Associés.
Bertrand joined the six-partner firm as of counsel following the merger between corporate powerhouse Bredin Prat and the bulk of Slaughters' Paris office on 1 May.
"I was looking for a firm that could put my litigation and arbitration experience to good use," said Bertrand. He added that he had previously worked with Campbells and had clients in common with his new firm.
Bertrand will help Campbells develop its litigation practice, in addition to strengthening its links with its fellow member firms of international network Trans European Law Firm Alliance.
As well as being a member of the Paris bar, Bertrand is admitted to practice in California.
