RENEE BERTRAM - Parker City
I am currently living in the Parker City area, which means my home phone service is supplied by Verizon (not the same as the wireless company).I have called and asked Verizon whether they could provide a pay station in either Farmland or the Parker City area. They informed me that a business in either Parker or Farmland would need to step forward and be willing to do this so that we could pay our phone bill locally.
Currently there are only four ways to do this: check by phone, credit card, send through the mail, or go into a Western Union and pay a fee of $12 to have it wired. The $12 every time gets a bit expensive, but according to the counter clerks at the Western Union, they receive a lot of business from us folks in the Parker/Farmland area.
