  ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In the effort to promote the impact insulation can have in improving the environment, sustainability, and energy efficiency, the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has named Paul Bertram Director, Environment and Sustainability.

  Bertram will continue to work as a fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), currently serving as vice president and editorial advisor for Construction Specifier Magazine.He initiated CSI's Sustainable Facilities Task Team and a business plan for what has evolved into CSI's GreenFormat(TM), a standardized way for manufacturers to report sustainable product attributes and for designers to specify them.

  Paul Bertram, who founded PRB in 1978, was instrumental in the early stages of the green building movement, which began following the 1987 Montreal Protocol treaty on substances that deplete the ozone layer.The movement has grown in recent years due to government mandates and non-governmental organizations seeking a reduction in the sources of climate change.
