Wesley was paralyzed in an automobile accident while driving on an icy freeway in 1989.At this time he was serving in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman.Now Wesley wants to compete for fun and for the challenge in the Bloomsday 12K in Spokane, Washington and the San Diego Rock-n-Roll marathon.
Wesley graduated from Eastern Washington University with Bachelors in Liberal Arts.While training and racing, he also volunteered at the Shriners Hospital and Life Center Church in Spokane.
In recent history, Wesley has participated in many events.He ran in the Honolulu, Boston and Berlin Marathons.Wesley was a member of the San Diego Handcycling club, and the St. Lukes Rehab Racing Team.Most recently, Wesley has participated in the San Diego Triathlon Challenge, the Thater Memorial in Binghamton N.Y. and the Irvine Criterium.
