Dr. Michael S. Bennett, Ph.D., 58, of Hinckley, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2003, in his home after a five-month illness.
He was born June 30, 1944, in Madison, Wis., and lived in Elyria before moving to Hinckley in the early 1970s.Michael was a psychotherapist with Cornerstone Comprehensive Psychological Services, serving Medina, Western Cuyahoga and Summit counties.He received his doctorate from Ohio State University.He was professor of psychology and human relations at the University of Akron.Mr. Bennett was awarded associate professor emeritus at the University of Akron following his 20-year academic career and continued his private practice since 1970.He was a fly fishing instructor and guide for Dr. Steelhead Fly Fishing Adventures and he taught fly tying seminars.He enjoyed fishing, downhill skiing, horseback riding and spending time with friends.
