Corey Bennett is in his first season as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Washington Wizards.
Prior to joining the Wizards, Bennett served as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the University of Miami football team from 2004-05, and was an instructor in the Hurricanes Athletic Training Program.
He also spent five seasons as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the NFL's Buffalo Bills from 1999-2004.
Certified as an Athletic Trainer and member of the American Heart Association (CPR & AED), Bennett received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Florida in 1996 and a Master of Science in Sports Health Science from Life University in 1999.
Upon his graduation from Florida, Bennett spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Georgia Techwhere he served as Assistant Trainer with the football team and was the Head Athletic Trainer for the softball program.
While a graduate assistant he worked as a training camp intern with the Buffalo Bills during the summer of 1997 and 1998.
A native of West Palm Beach, FL, Bennett and his wife, Lizette, have two children, Jalen and Joslyn, and residein Centreville, VA.
