--First of all the Italian Trade Commission (the folks who bring you Campagnolo and some other Italian-made stuff) has named Paola Bellusci to head up their California branch.
Paola is the first female Trade Commissioner at the group's Los Angeles office.
Her goal, as quoted in BRAIN, "is to strengthen the image of my country, not only as a world leader of beauty, reflected in art and in the manufacturing of traditional consumer goods--fashion, shoes, etc.
I want to emphasize that we are also a supplier of items characterized by unique design, such as bicycles, and special crafts."
Nice to see she snuck "bicycles" in there, right ahead of special crafts.
--Meanwhile, that "S" company, the one we have derided here for being at its heart a maker of fishing reels, has named a new president of Shimano American Corp.
