In June of 1982, Dave began a solo act which lasted 15 years, playing weekly at clubs and events throughout Ontario. In August of 1997 Dave retired from his solo career, and now may perform a few dates in the summer months for his enjoyment, or for charity.

Like many other RE/MAX realtors, Dave supports the Children's Miracle Network by donating a set amount on behalf of his clients, every time a deal closes and a pay check is earned. The money is spent locally, buying needed electronic medical equipment for the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario in London.Dave is also a strong supporter of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation, and for several years has performed outdoors in the parking lot of the Broadway Store in Tillsonburg on Camp Day, the funds going not only to send local children to camp that would normally never have the opportunity, but also creating summer jobs for some of these same children, when they can come back as teenagers, giving them challenges and responsibility, and building positive character traits in our young adults.
"Become as Little Children" just seemed to be the next natural step for Dave. Not only did it give almost 2000 local children the opportunity to participate first hand in the production of a professional recording, it will also be a lasting memory to former students of Elliott Fairbairn Public School and St. Mary's Catholic School who will be closing their doors permanently in June of 2004.The cd's will be released in September of the same year and will be made available through the schools as a fundraiser, with portions of the profits going to support The Children's Miracle Network and The Tim Horton Children's Foundation. The title of the album comes from the Bible verse Mathew 18:3.Dave is a Seventh Day Adventist Christian and attends church in Simcoe Ontario. He plans to pursue his hobby with an original gospel album, "Hymns of Worship and Praise" scheduled to be released in the spring of 2005.
