SUNRIVER , Gary Bell, a well-known figure in the Sunriver business community who possesses vast experience in the property management field, has been named Caldera Springs' first-ever general manager.Caldera Springs is the new 400-acre resort community created by the same team that developed and operates Sunriver Resort.
Bell's primary duties will include managing the Caldera Springs Owners' Association, along with overseeing the Design Review Committee and all of the assets of Sunriver Resort Limited Partnership (SRLP).
Bell first joined Sunriver Resort, a Destination Hotels & Resorts (DH&R) property, in 1996 after serving eight years as general manager of Ridgepine, another property management company that later became ResortQuest.He was instrumental in developing SRLP's vacation rental business and growing its inventory from 140 homes and condominiums to 375 today.
Bell remains one of DH,s foremost experts in the field of property management, and is one of only six PCAMs (Professional Community Association Managers) in the state of Oregon.
A former president of the Sunriver Chamber of Commerce, Bell also served as the resort's representative on the Sunriver Owners Association's Safety Committee and Long-Range Planning Committee, and sat on the board of directors for Commute Options for Central Oregon.
Bell started his new position on Nov. 1.His office is located in the Quarry Building at Caldera Springs. -
