Dr Darren Bell is an experienced manager and company director. He is recognised internationally as an expert in Spatial Information Technology Diffusion (SITD). He has delivered a number of Spatial seminars/workshops, including the Environmental Management workshop at the Sino-Australian International Exposition of Environmental Technology and Equipment, Shijiazhhuang, Hebei, China and is a publication reviewer for the international journal "Remote Sensing of Environment" Elsevier Science. Currently, Darren is developing commercialisation of Intellectual Property strategies for the Queensland Government. He also holds a Directorship of GecOz Pty Ltd, a Geospatial consulting company. Darren has 20 years experience in the application and education of Mathematics and Science. His experience in high-level research in the Geospatial Industry resulted in the development and commercialisation of salinity mapping technology derived from imaging radar data. As head scientist in this research, he coordinated a team of members from NASA/JPL, the Charles Darwin University (CDU) and the Environmental Research Institute of the Supervising Scientist.
