Funeral services for Carolyn Bell, 78, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at West Hartsville Baptist Church.The Rev. Dr. Bev Kennedy and the Rev. Tim Tomlinson will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at her former residence near Lydia, 4338 Una Road.Memorials may be made to West Hartsville Baptist Church, 1003 W. Carolina Ave. or Baptist Hospice, 301 Interstate Park, Montgomery, Ala. 36109.

Ms. Bell died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001.Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Elise Parham Bell.She was a member of West Hartsville Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher of the Gleaners Class for many years.She was a graduate of Coker College and was employed with The Kerfoots as a decorator for over 30 years.
