A frequent goal of scientific work is to find a mathematical model of a kinetic process. Such a model consists of a set of rules which describe the behavior of the process. The Chicago Kinetic Simulator (CKS-1) is a Mathematica Package for simulating kinetic processes. CKS-1 uses theater as a paradigm, and has an algorithmic syntax. The theater paradigm enhances program clarity through the use of scripts. Algorithmic syntax resembles mathematical syntax, permits mnemonics, and is both easier to validate and more flexible than pseudoanalog syntax. -
