Vic Belinski, Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology for VCCCD made introductions and presented some of his background. He then introduced Dwain Bitter from IBM and Imran Salim from Sirius Computers.Vic discussed the partnership with IBM and Sirius for security value and database system value as they relate to the ATPC technological development. Website Design and DevelopmentVic stated that he develops applications that empower people to post their own information and change their context when they want to.The technological aspects that need to be maintained will be offered in a package deal through IBM.The main objective is to develop an application that people at the ATPC can update as far as content, posting information, tracking information, etc.The idea is to have the freedom to do all the fixing and updating in-house.The first draft of on-line forms should be available for review by next week.Vic brought up the District website to demonstrate the system the ATPC will be getting.Lotus Domino was the application shown.Domino is fully compliant with ADA.The initial ATPC forms and website will be posted on the District,s server. The bigger applications will be launched in February when the ATPC servers will be in place.Committee members will have the opportunity for input during this development phase of work. When asked, Vic Belinski reported that K-12 schools in Hawaii and many law schools in California are using the Lotus Notes/Domino application.
