   Bruce Michael Belin, MD serves as chair of Lexington Medical Society Administrative Council and works with the American Cancer Society to promote public awareness for colorectal cancer screening and the development of new surgical techniques for the treatment of colorectal disease. He is co-chair of the young leadership for the Central Kentucky Jewish Federation (CKJF) and served as chairman of the CKJF Bike-a-thon, a 300-mile trip to raise funds for a children's hospital. Dr. Belin also sits on the board of directors of the Medical Heights Surgery Center.

   Lexington physicians - Bruce M. Belin, MD, and Katrina M. Hood, MD - were two of only 16 young physicians nationally to receive the 2005 AMA Leadership Award.
