Turnover in the Spanish chemical sector amounted to - 31.4 billion last year on the back of five years of strong production growth in an industry that now accounts for 10 percent of Spanish industrial production, according to data released Tuesday by Francisco Belil, the chairman of the sector association Feique. Belil noted that Spanish chemical industry turnover has increased 36 percent in the last five years and has become the fifth largest chemical industry in Europe and the seventh largest in the world.
