Paris, France- Westford, MA, April 27, 2005 - Dr. Walter Belhomme, PhD, PE, has joined ENSR as General Manager, Paris operations. ENSR, a leading worldwide environmental firm, serves major industrial clients from 10 offices and a staff of 350 in Europe. Dr. Belhomme will direct and expand ENSR's French operations focusing on environmental site investigations and audits, and remediation for polluted sites and soils. ENSR is currently conducting major environmental site assessments (ESA) for a large manufacturer on the West coast of France, and an underground storage tank (UST) removal/upgrade for a chemical manufacturer in Burgundy.
A professional geotechnical and civil engineer with 20 years of geo-environmental experience, Dr. Belhomme has expertise with hazardous waste (RCRA/Superfund) sites, landfill design/operations, and land reclamation. His multinational clients include large gas suppliers (Shell, Total, BP), automotive manufacturers (Ford, Delphi, Renault trucks, Valeo), paper (IP, Metso), transportation (Airbus, shipyards), chemical (Upjohn, Pechiney). His experience includes a major Due Diligence on all US-owned, European-based landfills prior to sale to a European operator. He has conducted preliminary site characterization of the Grand Stadium of France, and environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the Renault Boulogne-Billancourt site.
