On Thursday, May 3, 2001, a delegation from OLPEC arrived at the Governorate of Tunis to submit its constitutional documents in compliance with the Associations Act.The delegation was not given the regulatory receipt.The administration said it would instead deliver it the following Monday.Despite repeated reminders, OLPEC still has not received a receipt.

Meanwhile, the harassment of Ms. Belhassen continues.On April 14, 2001, she was violently struck by political police agents and called a "whore" and "traitor" who "sold out to foreign powers."This occurred as Ms. Belhassen deplaned after a trip to Geneva, Strasbourg, Brussels and Paris, where she had given a presentation on human rights in Tunisia and defended LTDH against the threat of disbandment.
