David Belhassen is a Principal in the private equity group of Compass Partners International Limited. Prior to joining Compass, Mr. Belhassen worked at Goldman Sachs International for four years.Based in London, he was part of the Advisory Group with a focus on the French M&A market.He played a significant role in Goldman Sachs' principal investment in the French Real Estate market including the acquisition of UAP real estate portfolio and Credisuez, Suez' real estate bank.In addition, Mr. Belhassen acted as an advisor to several companies including Seagram in the sale of its champagne business to Hicks Muse, Vivendi in the acquisition of US Filter and the subsequent equity and convertible issues, Alcatel in reviewing M&A strategic alternatives for and executing the IPO of Alstom in the Paris, London and New York Stock Exchange and Banque Populaires in its take-over bid on Natexis.

Mr. Belhassen worked for three years as an auditor at KPMG serving a number of large accounts in audit work and transaction support services.

Mr. Belhassen received his MBA from INSEAD and has the French chartered accountant qualification.
